DDR5 RAM price per GB averaged $17.52 across 12 tracked city areas from August 25 to August 31. At that rate, a 32GB memory equivalent worked out to about $560.64.
That amount was 2.8 times the $199.71 seven-day average for one terabyte of NVMe SSD capacity, and 9.4 times the $59.51 average for one terabyte of internal hard-drive capacity.
Memory and storage serve different roles. This comparison shows their relative costs in a PC budget; the capacities are not interchangeable. Each measure uses seven daily values for the same 12 city areas.

That narrow range leaves the component choice, not location within the tracked panel, as the dominant dollar difference in this comparison.
