Iced Coffee Prices Fell 7% in a Week Across 12 City Areas
Iced coffee prices for packaged iced coffee and cold brew, standardized to a 64-fluid-ounce equivalent, averaged $26.05 across 12 tracked city areas from August 18 to August 24. The previous seven days averaged $28.11, making the latest complete week $2.06, or 7.3%, lower.
The decline reached every city area. It also supplied about 92% of the wider Coffee Price Trends by City basket’s $2.25 weekly decline, making iced coffee and cold brew the main reason the seven-format total moved down.
Both periods use the same standardized quantity, 12 city areas, and seven daily readings per city.
The weekly average fell by $2.06
The August 11–17 window averaged $28.11. The August 18–24 window averaged $26.05, extending a decline from the $29.18 average recorded during August 4–10.
That puts the latest complete week $3.13, or 10.7%, below the August 4–10 benchmark. The daily average moved below $27 on August 16 and remained there through August 24.
Using complete seven-day windows limits the influence of a single daily reading. The same direction also held when each city area’s weekly average was calculated separately.
All 12 city-area averages moved lower
Weekly declines ranged from 5.9% in North Center/Avondale Chicago to 8.9% in Ridgewood/Glendale New York. North Jackson remained the highest weekly benchmark at $29.15, while Midtown Houston was lowest at $24.76.

One format supplied 92% of the coffee basket decline
The seven-format coffee basket averaged $123.86 during August 11–17 and $121.61 during August 18–24, a decline of $2.25.
Iced coffee and cold brew subtracted $2.06 from that total. Ready-to-drink coffee, instant coffee, and creamer also moved lower, while ground coffee, whole beans, and pods offset part of the decline.

The earlier coffee format comparison found prepared drinks moving higher through July 23. The August weekly windows moved iced coffee and cold brew in the opposite direction, while most brew-at-home formats changed by less than 2% in the latest week.
A weekly average near $26 would keep the 64-fluid-ounce benchmark below its early-August level. A move back toward $28 would begin to close the latest gap.
