Read the walkthrough
  1. Choose a city and check the units

Let's read an egg-price chart using ninety days of illustrative data. Under Locations, choose View only beside one city. Keep Units set to Price. The chart shows dollars per dozen over time. Move along it to inspect a date and its values.

  2. Read the line and bands

The line labelled Index is the summary price. The darker band shows the middle half of prices. Select the lighter band in the legend to see a wider range, from the fifth to the ninety-fifth percentile.

  3. Compare cities and periods

Add another city to compare its line, or change the time range to inspect a different period. Always read the dates and units beside the chart.

  4. Build a combined total
